Christmas was good, did I mention that? On Christmas Eve we went over to my grandfather's house as usual. I'd been up since three that morning and fell asleep on the couch for an hour, so my grandfather said to my sister "She's so lazy, all she does is sleep. Why did she even come?" Then later, "Talk to us, Kristen, what's your first name? What's your middle name? What's your last name?" Goddamn bastard. It's too bad most of my relatives are older than me, otherwise I would write them out of my will.

Christmas itself, Christmas day, was good. We went over to my grandmother's house, my mother's mother's house, and I fell asleep after we ate and watched some of A Christmas Story, which of course loops on TBS or some other channel all that day and maybe the day before.

I got clothes, The Sims 2, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Freaks (Johnny Eck!!), and some gift certificates and penguin-related things because I used to call my mother Penguin. I never moved from Mommy to Mom or Daddy to Dad so use nicknames, because apparently moving to Mom/Dad was too embarassing. The original nicknames were mean. I got my sister a camera without a flash or screen because it had a clip on it, but I'm going to return it and get her one that's a miniature of my Vivicam--flash, screen, she already knows how to use it.

New Year's I bought a pint of rum through my dad, got drunk walking home from picking it up at my uncle's house, which was necessary as I spent the next hour listening to Nico and sitting around with my mother while she talked and talked. You really have to be drunk to stand listening to her. At half past nine I went to sleep. Rebekah and Blake called at two and I went back to sleep instead of hanging out with them, but it was nice talking to both of them, albeit only for a small amount of time. I decided to give Blake the first book in the Mennyms series by Sylvia Waugh and am going to buy Rebekah The Sims 2 if she doesn't have it already, and the college expansion pack if she does have it whenever it comes out.

Yesterday I saw Finding Neverland with my mother because I am the type that will go to the movies with her mother just to get out of the house. It was better than I expected and motivated me to look for Peter Pan online, where it is available as a free e-text from Project Gutenberg. I have wanted to read it since I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower because I like old children's books and hate Charlie, so I have to be more well-read than him or something. I know a lot of people love that book, so: sorry.

Now I'm going to do something else. Probably sleep.
